An outstanding opportunity to join us in the Compliance advisory role supporting the UK Asset Management Business & also for the wider Global Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) franchise where required.

Critical responsibilities of the Compliance Officer will be to:


  • Provide advisory to the second line of defense including general marketing questions from awareness of FCA regulations
  • Attend regular meetings with business and various internal teams
  • Act as a conduit for wall crossings/market soundings adhering to internal policies and liaising with the third parties
  • Assist in the delivery of the facetoface training to UK AM staff on compliance topics
  • Participate in the analysis & implementation of new regulations affecting Asset Management
  • Assist in the review of due diligence questionnaires/ investor communication and represent compliance on due diligence calls and meetings
  • Assist in the completion of regulatory filings and review media correspondence
  • Challenge first line of defense
  • Assist / Conduct Compliance monitoring for Asset Management
  • Understand regulations and requirements relevant to asset management businesses
  • Implement key strategic projects for UK Asset Management businesses
  • Support Compliance monitoring office with ad hoc tasks as suggested

This role is to work within the established UK Asset Management advisory compliance team (currently 3 members) reporting to the SMF16 and primarily providing advisory / training / monitoring support to the CSAM boutique businesses within the Credit Suisse Asset Management Ltd regulated entity.

  • A good understanding of Asset Management
  • A good understanding of the Compliance function
  • Proven experience as a business (generalist) coverage Compliance Officer
  • Proactive and approachable
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and multitask
  • Ability to work in a changing regulatory and business environment
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues at all corporate levels
  • Proven ability to manage work effectively under pressure
