_We are now looking for a Student Services Coordinator to join our busy team_


The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) will be a critical member of the College Services Team and will be significantly involved in the coordination of key aspects of the student life cycle.

They will work in collaboration with the Senior Manager of StudentServices to support the delivery of an outstanding student experience which meets the learning and personal needs of our undergraduate and postgraduate students.


The role requires a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team.

The SSC must possess the ability and commitment to maintain the highest standards of accuracy throughouttheir work.


Salary:
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum


Student Services Coordinator Duties:


  • Plan and monitor the workload of the Student Services Officers to ensure all operational imperatives of the College are conducted to a high standard
  • Coordinate the frontline services offered to BPC students including the front desk and ensure student enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Take a primary role in onboarding new Student Services Officers and Interns
  • Support the Compass programme to ensure students who may need help to achieve their full potential receive the required support (behavioural, welfare, attendance monitoring, students with additional needs and under 18's)
  • Maintain and continue to build working relationships with key services at Brunel University London
  • Work with the Student Services Team to continually look for ways to enhance the student experience through the Student Representative programme and college forums/committees
  • Support the college Workplace Health and Safety processes (risk assessments, accident reporting and first aid as appropriate)
  • Use technology to enhance and develop existing College systems to elicit more efficient practices
  • Support the Senior Manager of Student Services to effectively organise and run student registration processes
  • Liaise with students, Program Element Leaders and Academic Teaching Staff to coordinate the administration of regular surveys to continually improve the student experience
  • Develop the student voice by supporting the Student Representatives programme which includes training and administer the key college forums and committees
  • Coordinate the college finance processes including debt recovery, tuition fee extension requests, payment plans and sponsored students
  • Support the administration for the college Personal Tutor Framework
  • Support the team to develop an ongoing programme of studentcentred events and activities (Awards evening, key campaigns, sporting events, welfare weeks, British cultural events, Induction activities, employability sessions)
  • Support the development of the integration and progression opportunities to prepare students for their transfer to Brunel University London
  • Support the Senior Manager of Student Services to effectively organise and run student registration processes
  • Liaise with students, Program Element Leaders and Academic Teaching Staff to coordinate the administration of regular surveys to continually improve the student experience
  • Develop the student voice by supporting the Student Representatives programme which includes training and administer the key college forums and committees
  • Coordinate the college finance processes including debt recovery, tuition fee extension requests, payment plans and sponsored students
  • Support the administration for the college Personal Tutor Framework

  • Maintain the student records system to ensure that the information held is accurate and complete at all times
  • Undertake regular audits of the student records system, addressing any data gaps by obtaining the relevant data from appropriate sources
  • Provide the university partner with reports on changes to student circumstances, course withdrawals or deferrals, student engagement and visa refusals
  • Comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
  • Adhere to Safeguarding procedures and report to the DSO as appropriate
  • Support college Workplace Health and Safety processes (risk assessments, accident reporting and first aid as appropriate)
  • Any other duties or tasks as directed by the Line Manager or College Senior Management Team

Student Services Coordinator Requirements:


Essential:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working in a Higher Education or Independent Education setting
  • Work experience in an administrative or customer service role
  • Detailed knowledge of a student life cycle
  • Experience of upholding and imparting policy and regulations
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience of working with and meeting the needs of different stakeholders
