Our client is a prestigious law firm based in the beating heart of the City - they are now looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join their lovely HR team


You will be responsible for assisting the HR team to provide an effective HR service for all practice areas and support groups within the firm.

The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is up to £32,000 + Benefits.

This role is a permanent position, and the client are currently using a hybrid working approach (2 days in the office, 3 from home).

Responsibilities as a HR Assistant include:

  • Managing the HR inbox and acting as the principle contact for general HR queries
  • Organising and sending all general HR documentation
  • Logging all sickness on the HR system
  • Assisting the HR team with sickness absence reporting and cases
  • Managing the recruitment portal with the Recruitment Manager
  • Ensuring that all recruitment administration is completed
  • Assisting the HR Advisor as required with the administration of the monthly payroll documentation
  • Responding to ad hoc HR queries on a daytoday basis
  • Acting as the main contact for the onboarding process
  • Coordination of the monthly new joiner inductions
  • Scheduling all probation meetings for all staff
  • Producing leaver letters and responsible for the leaver processes

Requirements as a HR Assistant include:

  • Previous HR experience gained from a law firm or professional services firm
  • Proactive in looking to improve processes, policies or practices
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proven ability to build, maintain and nurture relationships
  • Technically excellent, commercially minded and have great people skills
