Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Leader to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.
You will manage and work with the young people to develop a series of projects and events that will set them up with the skills to become young professional adults.
This strand is broken down into the following areas:-
No Limits:
- a 5 week programme that will focus on specific soft skills and community ideas that young people can benefit from having in the work place.

Leadership in Practice:
- Facilitating an initiative that the young people come up with and supporting them to deliver this.
Active Citizenship:
- working with local communities and governing bodies to enable the young people to engage in activities that will allow them to make a difference on an official level.

Youth Club:
- Informal workshops that will enable the young people to have discussions about valuable topics whilst engaging in fun activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with the delivery and management of the Youth Vision Project
- Lead the programming of the Leadership in Practice events.
- Lead the Active citizenship activity.
- Supervise the Youth Club
- Manage the youth executives under your strands and help run facilitation, training and events.
- Ensure young people play a strong leadership role across the work.
- Be a mentor and role model for young people participating in your strand.
- Manage budgets for Leadership in Practice activity.
- Manage data collection and monitoring processes and ensure projects achieve their outputs and outcomes on time and within budget.
- Manage the scheduling of activities including volunteers.
- Manage relationships with project stakeholders including partner organisations.
- Update the project's progress to internal stakeholders via meetings, written reports and presentations.
- Be the direct liaison for parents of young people participating in your strand.
- Participate in marketing, recruitment and community engagement activities.
- Build relationships with aligned organisations identifying opportunities to work in partnership where appropriate.
- Work closely with colleagues to cover for each other as and when required.
Communication
- Assist the centre admin and marketing staff in developing marketing and communications materials.
- Lead the delivery of events to showcase activities as well as events that form part of the learning experience for young people.
- Keep up to date on new developments and trends within the youth sectors.
- Manage and operate within the agreed Youth Vision plan and budget to ensure that departmental targets are met.
- Represent at events and conferences.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation, contributing to the effectiveness of meetings, the sharing of knowledge and experience and the development of the Highlife Centre and its profile.
- Ensure the Highlife Centre's Health and Safety and Safeguarding and any other appropriate policies are adhered to where necessary.
- Undertake any other duties and reasonable requests that are in keeping with the nature of this post.

Person specification:
Project Manager Experience
- Demonstrate some project management experience.
- Experience in leading facilitation and training teams to deliver content for young people.
- Understanding and empathy for the current issues facing young people.
- Strong people management skills.
- Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to connect with peop
