Social Inclusion Worker (Timebanking)
Salary:
£23, 340 per annum (pro rata) + 3% increase May 2024
Hours of Work:21 hours per week
Responsible to:
Chief Executive Officer
Benefits:
8% employer pension contribution, flexible working, 5 weeks annual leave and up to 4 weeks paid annual leave for carers (pro rata)

Overview of the Post:
The role of the Social Inclusion Worker is to manage the day to day running of a time bank project by recruiting and training members, facilitating time exchanges, and initiating activities to involve participants in health and wellbeing improvements for themselves and their community.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Project Management
- Establishing a usergroup to coproduce the early development and shape of the timebank with members being encouraged to become local ward champions of the scheme
- Recruiting new participants to the timebank
- Facilitating timebank requests and offers
- Ensuring members' time credit accounts are up to date using case management software
- Organising group activities, promotional events etc
- Outreaching to local groups, including health and community organisations, so that their service users can participate in the timebank
- Offering individual and group support and guidance when needed
- Increasing access to services for people from hard to reach and underrepresented groups e.g. those who are isolated and socially excluded.
Marketing & Fundraising
- Promoting the timebankthrough providing stories for our social networking sites
- Promoting the timebank in local press and other relevant media
Finance & Administration
- Ensuring project budget is adhered to
- Ensuring DBS checks are administered on relevant timebankmembers.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Evaluating and monitoring timebank members' feedback, and adapting the service where appropriate
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of the outcomes achieved by timebank members, and documenting evidence supporting these outcomes
- Completing regular and timely reports for the Board of Trustees
Other
- Working within the policies and procedures of DIAL Barnsley, including those concerned with equal opportunities.
- Promoting all DIAL Barnsley services at local and national level
- Fulfilling any other duties as appropriate to the timebank project.
