We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with educators to support students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

Your role will involve providing educational assistance, facilitating communication, and offering mentorship to help students thrive.


Duties:


  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of instructional materials and activities
  • Provide oneonone or small group tutoring to students, focusing on specific areas of need
  • Support students in developing social skills and promoting positive behavior
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns
  • Assist in the assessment of student performance and provide feedback to teachers
  • Help with classroom management, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism spectrum disorder
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
