Placement and Commissioning Officer - Conwy Council (Hybrid)

- 6+ Month Ongoing Contract

Rate - Negotiable - Please send your CV with the rate of pay you require

Essentials:

Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience within a Fostering Service.
Understanding of statutory and legislative frameworks and policies in relation to Children and Young People
Understanding and experience of the impact upon children's lives of disrupted care and of being separated from their primary carer and relate to attachment theory
Wide knowledge of decision making and analysis of risk assessments with regards to matching placement needs

Job Role:

To work in partnership with the Social Workers in the Fostering Team, Social Workers in the child care teams and Residential Unit to support the transition and commissioning of the placement.
To manage Placement Requests, study the identified needs and analyse the risk assessment to match in conjunction with the social worker with appropriately skilled foster carers inhouse or externally.
