Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Ipswich based client on an ongoing temporary basis with the potential to be offered a permanent contract in the future.

Our client is looking for a Machine Operator to join their team

  • Your duties will include but not be limited to;
  • Plain and angle head grinding set head stock and tail stock to required position for length of job
  • Internal grinding set chuck jaws and grind out to run true, dress wheel and come to size by hand, set dresser to automatic dressing
  • Surface grinding dress wheel, load components to magnetic table using packing as necessary, set traverse and crossways stops
  • Use of all normal hand tools
  • Monitor component quality. Use quality processes to record/correct defects
  • Maintain workstation to give efficient operation
£ £15.75 per hour - plus overtime rates

You will be working in a fantastic environment where you will be operating machinery to market leading components.


You will be required to work a rotating shift of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, you would then receive a shift allowance for this.
