Fixed Assets Analyst
Location - Blackburn
Salary - £27,000- £29,000

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing projects as requested to ensure all statuses and budgets are up to date and with relevant approvals
  • Understanding what defines capital expenditure and distinguishing between CAPEX and OPEX
  • Helping the Group Fixed Assets/Country Finance teams fix any queries when issuing purchase orders, including any asset issues and budget problems
  • Creating all assets so purchase orders can be raised in SAP ensuring all capital expenditure goes into the correct descriptions and g/l accounts
  • Journals to capitalise expenditure, working with the country accountants to process
  • Managing large projects processes and payments to ensure all is paid in a timely manner and seeing how to improve efficiency
  • Liaising with all management from various departments to make sure they understand our processes and what they need to do when purchasing an asset
  • Analysing the budgets to see what assets relate to certain purchase orders etc. to give an insight for the procurement team
  • Dealing with suppliers to update them on payments and sending over remittances
  • Ensuring all vendors are paid timely and accordingly to specified countries
  • Generating asset history sheets from SAP when requested by area managers etc
  • Management of assets; scraps & disposals
  • Running depreciation of fixed assets monthly
  • Conducting reviews of projects to capitalise assets/closure of projects
  • Assisting audits/dealing with audit queries
