Role Overview


As Head of Technical Digital Delivery, you'll lead the development and implementation of innovative digital technology solutions, products and services across the organisation that enhance the customer experience and improve operational efficiencies.

You'll be responsible for the digital delivery, digital architecture, and roadmap to deliver our KPI of 60% of our customers to interact with us digitally.


What you'll do:


  • Lead and manage the development of new and existing digital technology solutions, products, and services such as mobile and web portals.
  • You will lead a team of digital professionals who will deliver the technology that enables our digital products and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (i.e. marketing, product development, and operations) to ensure seamless integration of digital technology solutions.
  • Lead the digital delivery design authority underpinning Bupa's business strategy of customer, growth, and transformation agenda.
  • Develop strategic plans for the development and deployment of digital technology and infrastructure, driving project delivery.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of existing digital systems and ensure they are operating at optimal levels.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive digital technology strategy that aligns with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging digital technologies and trends to stay ahead of the competition and meet evolving needs of the customers and to drive innovation.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the digital technology team and ensure they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize digital delivery and enhance team efficiency.

What you'll bring:


  • A proven track record of delivering digital transformation and technologies that underpin market leading digital customer experiences.
  • Firsthand infrastructure and operations delivery experience gained through several implementation and support roles.
  • Experience of leading technical delivery teams to deliver digital products and experiences (ideally in an international environment).
  • Business acumen able to easily grasp business topics and to view and present things from a business perspective rather than IT
  • The ability to understand and assess complex data, assess trends, and solve problems.
  • True thought leadership as demonstrated by monitoring market trends and to drive creative thinking on future technology capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and strengthen relationships within the business at all levels.
