Reed Secure are working with a major Police Force in London, they are seeking Business Analyst who holds SC clearance to join them based at their head quarters in Bishopsgate.

The opportunity is initially offered as a 2-year fixed term contract with thepossibility of extension.

As a Business Analyst your role will sit within the Change Portfolio Office function arm of the organisation to assist with the programmes, projects and change initiatives that make up the force's portfolio of change, with a focus on delivering transformationalchange to meet the future needs of the business and to achieve the ambitions of our Policing and Corporate Plans.


Purpose of the Post:

  • To undertake a range of business analysis task for both established and new programmes or projects being delivered by the Force.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to analyse & formulate proposals which may include analysis of how national initiatives and directives may be implemented and the impact this may have on the work of one or more business areas across the organisation.
  • Produce reports with recommendations on allocated projects & programmes of work for submission to the relevant governance from internal project or programme boards through to relevant Committees as and when required.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with a range of stakeholders to identify requirements & benefits through the use of appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Undertake consultation activity & lead ongoing reviews business processes across a range of business areas.
  • Gather & evaluate critical information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts.
  • Interpret customer business needs
  • Work with stakeholders to identifying drivers for change, analyse information needs & requirements.
  • Undertake research, benchmarking, consultation & baselining activity for projects.
  • Develop & evaluate options papers and feasibility studies across a variety of topics.
  • Drive & challenge departments & services on their assumptions.
  • Work with Project Manager & Business Lead to provide a gap analysis & plan to move from current to new ways of working.
  • Conducting crossfunctional meetings & presentations to share & agree findings & recommendations.

Education/Qualifications
Business Analysis qualification/membership from one of the following, BCS, APMG International, IIBA or PMI or equivalent & relevant experience.


Experience Required

  • Experience of working in, and undertaking business analysis, in a police service, relevant public/government body.
  • Experience of writing detailed reports with recommendations on the development of business.
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of planning & facilitating stakeholder engagement, analysing feedback.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office suite and other business analysis tools & techniques.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • Knowledge & ability to apply, a range of Business Analysis tools and methods.
  • Excellent research/analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, & time management.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent facilitation & presentation skills &ability to deliver workshops, events and talks.
  • Good understanding of either Project/Change Management methodology & working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
