Job Overview:
LADDER is seeking an experienced Tutor to join our team.

As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with young people and provide education within an alternative provision setting.

Our mission at LADDER is to engage, develop and empower young people to prepare for the world of further education and employment.

You will be required to have an adaptable approach, when supporting learners with vocational learning.


Duties:


  • Communicate effectively with students to understand their learning needs
  • Plan and deliver functional skills and employment sessions based on individual student requirements and needs
  • Assist students with SEN needs in understanding difficult concepts and improving their academic performance
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials to enhance student engagement through interest based learning
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
  • Be an enthusiastic and reliable member of the team
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and schools

Person Specification:

  • You will have previous experience working with KS3 or KS4 students who face additional barriers to learning
  • You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • You will have the ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student centred way.
  • You will need to hold strong knowledge in Maths and English functional skills Entry level
  • Level
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Extensive knowledge of ADHD, ADD, Autism, Anxiety and complex mental health in children and young people
