Fife Resource Solutions LLP is an Arm's Length External Organisation owned by Fife Council. It provides comprehensive resource management services to the Council and commercially to wider businesses and organisations. A key objective of the organisation is to grow commercial income from external trading activities.


This is an LGV Driver/Waste Operative position on which you will work as part of a team operating within a commercial waste management environment; which includes working on a 5 day, Monday to Friday shift pattern.

You will be primarily required to drive a 7.5t Boxvan, however, where appropriate, you may be required to driver other vehicle types, like a small van, skip lugger, hook-lift or refuse collection vehicle for the effective and efficient completion of daily work quotas, within our service.


The main duties of this role includes delivering and uplifting commercial containers to and from FRS customers, commercial sack deliveries, maintaining and repairing FRS containers, e.g.

replacing lids, wheels and adjusting brakes, loading loose waste and bulky items into the vehicle, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.


It is essential that you hold a current valid LGV category 'C' driving licence, Digital tachograph driver card and current driver CPC.

It is also essential that you have experience of providing customer service, experience of working in a team (working together) and have communication skills.
