Practice Bookkeeper

Crawley

Salary - Up to £28,000 (DOE)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading firm of accountants based in Crawley as an experienced bookkeeper. The firm is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join their busy and successful bookkeeping department.

Responsibilities would include:


  • Managing and processing payroll, maintaining accurate financial records, and performing daytoday bookkeeping tasks.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns for clients, working closely with the tax department to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare monthly accounts, providing insights into the financial performance of clients.
  • Generate profit and loss statements for clients, highlighting their income, expenses, and overall profitability.
  • Address client complaints and inquiries related to bookkeeping and provide them with necessary support and guidance.

To be considered for this role,

  • AAT/ AATQB qualified
  • Selfmotivated, proactive, and capable of working independently to manage your workload efficiently.
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years in a bookkeeping role within an accounting practice is required.
  • Knowledge of software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Excellent communication skills
