Description

Opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join a well-established surveying unit to deal with a portfolio of building related insurance losses.

You will be working within a varied team which includes APC employees, experienced MRICS surveyors and CharteredEngineers.

You will be involved in and lead numerous projects to reinstate commercial and domestic properties following damage by an insured peril.

Projects typically range in value from £50k to £5m.

Dependent on the size and complexity of each project you may workalone or lead a small project team working with the QS's, CAD technicians and engineers.

Having responsibility in a wide range of surveying activities, ranging from technical reporting, defects diagnosis, preparing Schedule of Works, contract administration and project management.

You must be able to empathise with clients who may have suffered a loss or bereavement, but then able to turn around professional reporting within tight time-scales.

An ability to manage a workload and make reasoned decisions under pressure is a must.
