Are you a fantastic communicator with experience of working in a Human Resources, Organisational Development or Communications Team? Have you supported early careers, employee engagement and wellbeing activity in a previous role?

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops.

In an average year Dogs Trust centres care for over 14,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

We are now recruiting for a People Experience Officer to support the People Experience Manager in developing and implementing the people experience operational plan and proposition for both our employees and our volunteers.

This will include the employee end-to-end experience and driving engagement and communication initiatives to enable a positive employee experience.

You will focus on early careers/apprenticeships, but will also be involved in wellbeing, onboarding, engagement, culture, talent and career management, performance, and EED&I.

This new role sits within the Learning and Organisational Development team in HR and will work closely with the People Experience Manager, L&D Manager, and the Volunteering Development Manager to look at how we engage and stay in touch with our employees and volunteers.

HR plays a key role in defining and supporting our developing organisational culture, driving high levels of employee engagement, proactive day to day people management and positive people behaviours.

A strong project manager and superb communicator, you will have excellent written English, a keen eye for detail, and an ability to work to tight deadlines.

An ability to be flexible, think on your feet and respond quickly to new initiatives is also essential.

In return for all of this, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent annual leave and pension allowances and Perkbox, and you will you join a team of highly professional and driven colleagues in a brilliant upbeat and collaborative environment, all with a genuine passion for dog welfare.
