The Surrey Heartlands Nursing and Midwifery (N&M) Strategic Lead role will be a key strategic position across Surrey Heartlands and will work closely with Health Education England, NHS England, Surrey Heartlands People Committee, Provider Organisations, Further Education and Higher Education Institutes, Surrey County Council, and the VCSE Sector on addressing identified objectives including:

Leading on the SE 50k nurse programme workstreams for Surrey Heartlands
Under Graduate and Post Graduate preregistration nursing expansion
Preregistration attrition
Nursing Associate expansion
Return to Practice

Apprenticeships

RNDA / NA to RN
Health Care Support Worker development
International Nurse recruitment (and retention)
Supporting the People Promise Retention Programme in Surrey Heartlands
Supporting the Surrey Heartlands rotation programme
Developing Career Pathways and competency frameworks
Leading on the nursing educational agenda including preceptorships, advanced clinical practice, and nonmedical prescribing development to meet workforce requirements
Developing the Surrey Heartlands Nurse brand
