Are you looking for an opportunity to take that step from a Service Engineer Team Leader or Service Engineering Supervisor into a fully fledged Manager, taking a step away from the day to day grind of travelling? This really is an opportunity to do justthat: you'll work closely with the Operations Director, who will support and mentor you to get you to that next level.


The company is very well known in their industry: I know a lot of job adverts talk about market-leading so I'll avoid that But they make high-spec laboratory equipment and their name is known globally.

However, with a retirement coming, they see an opportunityto bring someone on board and develop them.

You'll start with a team of 4 Service Engineers to manage.

Instead of doing things the way they've always been done, you will be looking to bring in new and fresh ideas, develop the team, and turn it into a smooth running service department.

Installing theequipment, upselling in the field, spares sales, repairs, and ongoing service visits.

Reporting to the Operations Director, they will give you the opportunity to make changes and improvements.

If it doesn't work or it goes wrong, that's ok Mistakes mean you're trying to make changes and improvements - not everything can go right the firsttime.

The most important thing is that you're solutions focused, with the drive to see things through to the end.

You'll consider yourself an engineer:

you will have been there and done that with the travel, know your way around engineering drawings and already have that hands-on experience with repairs or service work.

The team you inherit will trust that you knowwhat you're talking about and will really welcome the change too.

You'll probably live in or around one of the following: Reading, Wokingham, Guildford, Beaconsfield, Egham, Woking, Basingstoke, Aylesbury, Crawley, Horsham
