OSP are looking for Junior Quantity Surveyors for our client based in Greater Manchester

  • A recent graduate from a building surveying or construction related degree discipline looking to gain valuable experience within the industry.
The surveyor would report into the building surveying department.


It is envisaged that the role would progress to include the completion of energy performance certificates and eventually retrofit assessments.

We also carry out damp and void surveys.

A stock condition survey consists of the following tasks:

  • Working through a list of properties or assets by calling at them, arranging appointments ahead of schedule and/or attending pre arranged appointments. Diary management including using outlook and/or booking apps to arrange future appointments.
  • Conducting an elemental condition assessments= that express the overall condition of main components, suggesting renewal dates, providing evidence through photographs and commentary.
  • Highlighting any immediate health and safety, safeguarding and/or other issues where applicable.
  • 4. Using data collection software to collect stock condition data on an iPad.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FUNCTIONAL

  • Surveying department to deliver a high-quality performance within scheduled timescales.
  • To assist other staff within the Building Surveying Department or wider organisation as required.
  • To conduct site visits as required across the UK, primarily to help gather information on the condition of clients' properties.
  • To use 3rd party industry-specific software, in particular the use of Keystone Asset Management software, or other systems as required by individual clients.
  • To use Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel to fulfil the commitments of the role.
  • To undergo training to satisfy the requirements of the role, including attendance at staff development days, and external training courses.
  • To be adaptable and flexible, assisting other departments within Rand Associates when required.
  • To follow Rand Associates' Codes of Conduct.
  • A qualification at SC level or above in Building Starting

Salary:
£25,861.08-£60,276.98 per year
