Description

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for a Lead Design Coordinator to join one of the largest civil engineering and infrastructure specialists with 40 years of experience working UK-wide across the water, transport, built environment, and energy sectors.

You will be responsible for controlling design budget, and to ensure designs are delivered on time, to the right quality and within budget.


Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • To manage the Process, Mechanical, Electrical designers, supply chain and where necessary to coordinate the civil designers and to review allocation of CAD services to the scheme.
  • To drive completion on time and to budget, and to ensure quality of design is sufficient for the project.
  • Daytoday direction from the Engineering Manager.
  • Help develop and close out Designers Risk Assessments (DRA) on designs in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all design risk are captured from the client and mitigate.
  • Submit designs to client for review.
  • To assist in the production, tracking and reporting of the project programme
  • To develop a design budget with the Project Manager, and to develop the following documentation:
  • Contract Financial Reporting (CFR) for design budget.
  • Design Deliverable List.

Required:


  • HNC/D in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering or equivalent level qualification.
  • Process Safety/Hazard Management.
  • CDM Regulations 2015 (for Designers preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Experience in working within a design and build environment.
  • Water/wastewater industry or other relevant sector.

Desirable:


  • CompEx.
Salary plus package.
