Salary: From £13.42 _per hour_**We have an opportunity for a Production Operative to join Operations Team.

The Production Operatives are key to our success in the business.

They work productively as part of a team to reach the plant production targets on a daily basis, whilst being vigilant and proactive with quality checks.

Throughout the shifts, strict health, safety and hygiene standards must be adhered to, ensure products are made to the highest quality.

They work as part of a friendly and supportive production team, which can be busy and hot sometimes (we bake breads - so we need the ovens on).

The Production Operatives will have a good work ethic and will be proud of the work they do.

They will be able to communicate polity and openly to their teams and managers, to highlight any challenges, ask for support and give support - you are working as part of team.

These roles can be busy at times, which is why good organisational skills and the ability to hit deadlines are key in succeeding here.

This is what you'll actually do

  • As a Production Operative you will work as part of a team in our bakery placing and removing tins from conveyor belts, clearing tins of any potential foreign bodies, ensuring tins are full of product and covering tins when they have cooled down.
  • You'll ensure that our baked goods are packed correctly, with all dates accurate on the packaging with the correct labeling. There are elements of your role which are physical as you will stack baskets onto pallets in a safe manner and make sure the pallet book is completed accurately. While ensuring Hygiene and Housekeeping practices are being carried out.
  • You will work in a safe and supportive environment, so we train all of our workers on Health and Safety best practices to ensure that you able to maintain high levels of best practice and these behaviours are adopted at all times.
  • Attention to detail and quality control is crucial and you are expected to monitor quality assurance at your designated area. You'll ensure performance and product quality is maintained in your area by adherence to plant set up, technical specifications and quality assurance processes.
