Smart Meter Engineer Scheduler, Bristol, £26,000 - £28,000


Long established, leading Energy Services company, providing independant services to help companies manage their energy better, are seeking a Smart Meter Engineer Scheduler to join them.

You will be working for their wholly owned Smart Metering subsidary,who deliver market leading Metering Services nationwide.


The role of Engineer Scheduler is a Permanent position, a hybrid working arrangement will be offered, working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

**Specific duties of the role of scheduler will be: - **- Making outbound calls and responding to general customer enquiries according to the requirements of customer contracts

  • Liaising with the Business Support Manager regarding daily engineer availability
  • Scheduling/Programming of Field Operatives' work
  • Dispatching of work to Operatives using the most effective method
  • Arranging completion of short notice emergency work to appropriate Field Operatives, taking into account productivity, operational and customer service requirements.
  • Provision of office based support for all field staff
**In order to be successful for the role of Scheduler, you will: - **- Have excellent customer care skills and be proactive in pursuing job completion

  • Previous experience taking inbound calls or making outbound calls.
  • Previous experience as/in Engineer Scheduler, Scheduling Engineers, Maintenance Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Planning Field Service Engineers, Works Scheduler, Workforce Planner, Maintenance Planner, Engineer Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinatoror similar would be highly advantagous.
  • Be able to communicate confidently and effectively
  • Represent the company positively at all times
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • 5 x GCSE's at C and above

Ideally you will have had experience in smart metering, energy, customer services or a scheduling role in engineering, utilities or transport.
