Salary:
£14.14 per hour


Location:
Baycroft Orpington


Hours & Shift Pattern:37.5 hours per week,3 x shifts a week, 7.45am - 8.15pm (Required to work every other weekend - 2 week rolling rota)

We are now recruiting a dynamic
Senior Care Assistant to join our Care team and support us in delivering nutritious food and market-leading care to our residents.

Along with experience in a Senior Care Assistant, you should hold an level 3NVQ in Health and Social Care and be able to demonstrate specific knowledge of clinical care.

And in return, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct person-centred care to all residents, promoting their individuality and dignity at all times.
  • Administering medication.
  • Assisting residents with social activities by interacting with them, encouraging them to continue with or take up new hobbies and activities such as those organised by the Activities Coordinator or assistants.
  • Leading, supporting and mentoring the team of care assistants on shift and support the nurse on duty to organise and supervise their work
  • Performing, reporting and recording, following training, clinical observations of residents' temperature, pulse, breathing, height and weight.
  • Obtaining urine, stool and sputum samples, as requested by the GP or RGN in charge.
  • Performing simple urinalysis following training.

Please note:
this role will require an enhanced DBS and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
