Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Neurodiversity Practitioners to join the Offender Health Directorate working at HMP Fosse Way.

HMP Fosse Way is set to open in mid-2023 and is a Category C Resettlement Prison.

HMP Fosse Way will house 1,715 prisoners and focus on the rehabilitation of offenders and their reintegration back into society.

It consists of 7 House blocks across 4 floors.

There is a dedicated healthcare suite located in the main building with also additional multi use rooms across the establishment including rooms for groups or 1-2-1's.


You will assist in the identification and support of people with Neurodevelopmental Conditions, including Autism, Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning /Intellectual Disabilities, in your designated prison establishment.


You will hold a caseload of people who are identified to have needs associated with neurodevelopmental conditions and require reasonable adjustments to be made to their healthcare.


You will advocate for people with neurodevelopmental conditions within the prison system and promote best practice and the safety and wellbeing of these patients.

You will work alongside other Neurodiversity practitioners, in similar roles, working in other prisons.
