We are now recruiting a Commercial Training Support Lead who will Contribute as a team member through administrative and related support tasks to creating and maintaining a recognised 'best in class' automotive commercial (i.e., non-technical) training and development function.

You will support the identification and development, and where required engagement and collaboration with the appropriate HMUK teams, Retailer network and appropriate affiliates (e.g., HMC; HME; Innocean), a best-in-class commercial training and development curriculum for Retailer staff.

You will also have responsibility to provide support to the commercial training and development team to implement the syllabus (through approved partner providers) to achieve KPI's, accreditation measures and demonstrable tangible improvements in the Retailer network, HMUK colleagues and relevant partner providers.

This is a fast paced and diverse role and will suit an individual who enjoys a diverse environment with no two days being the same


Key Responsibilities:


  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to provide deep insight by connecting multiple data sources with targeted business improvementbased metrics, the use of Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Lead improvements for Learning Management System (LMS), including improvements to functionality and tracking of operational KPI performance linked business objectives.
  • Communication planning and activation via social, online and written platforms with the ability to drive engagement with internal and external audiences.
  • Project planning, tracking to monitor tasks, highlight risks and opportunities to accelerate training completion to the Retailer network, HMUK personnel and where appropriate external providers.
  • Delivery of analytical insight to identify the training needs of the network in line with the requirements identified from HMUK teams, appropriate affiliate partners (e.g., Innocean) and through ongoing assessment of all available data including TNA's, HCX, NCBS, etc.
  • Lead the gathering, collation, and provision of robust, evidence based and detailed reporting, evaluation, and assessment of all commercial Brand; TCM / Sales; Product; Customer and Aftersales Commercial training and development activities and events as required.
  • Support the active promotion and awareness of all Brand; TCM / Sales; Product; Customer and Aftersales Commercial training and development activities, events, and offerings.
  • Support the input to and management of any commercial training related requirements on all associated and relevant platforms and portals (e.g., LMS; SAP; COLIN; BMS; Hyundai Advance etc)
  • Support and provide as required the HMUK retailer network with access, advice, support and guidance on all commercial training and development matters
  • Ensure access to and accuracy of, all retailer and HMUK internal staff records (e.g., attendance, course completion, people accreditation, delegate bookings etc) within all relevant platforms and portals (e.g., LMS; Hyundai Advance etc) in relation to all commercial training and development events and activities
  • Identify and implement agreed action to ensure all commercial and development training and events is appropriately booked, resourced, attended and delivered
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial training and development team as required

Personal Specification:


  • Strong administrative experience within a recognised customer / retail focused environment preferably training and development or HR and if possible, with an automotive Retailer and/or OEM
  • Strong project planning skills and the use of associated tracking tools to monitor progress.
  • An ability to drive engagement through an advanced communication plan, including tracking of social metrics.
  • Have a strong customer ethos with the ability to build excellent relationships and handle challenging situations.
