What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. This role typically reports into the Finance Manager.

This will be a varied role, which will require the role holder to carry out cashier duties along with varied finance tasks.

The role will include:

Maintain the cashbook and produce a weekly cash report
Weekly cheque run for customer payments, expenses etc
Prepare a monthly trading account
Monthly reports eg Bank Reconciliations, PAYE
Monthly VAT return inc. completing required VAT actions
Maintain the Sales Ledger
Petty Cash
Produce P46 and P11D Reports
Run Purchase Ledger payment runs
Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager

What we need from you?

Experience in a similar accounting role
A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial
Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
Must be organised, diligent and able to work under pressure
