Backed with significant investment, a rapidly growing technology company is developing an innovate and patented product for use in the transportation industry.

Due to growth, they have a new vacancy looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to the team.

Workingwith existing and new suppliers you must be an experienced quality professional with an engineering background and strong supplier development skills.


Commutable from:
Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Coventry, Evesham, Redditch, Solihull, Birmingham, Oxford, Banbury.


Salary:
£ 40,000 - £ 50,000 + excellent benefits

Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, SQE, QE.


The Role


You will take responsibility for supplier development and work closely with the engineering, design & manufacturing departments to ensure products meet with customer design requirements.


Main responsibilities:
Supplier development and selection

Carryout supplier audits and report on Key Performance Indicators

Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate on process improvement

Work with Design and Manufacturing departments to define process parameters

Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects

Continuous improvement support of existing supplier base

Develop the supply base to ensure they fulfil the requirements across the key quality areas

Implementation of Lean, Best in Quality, Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) & Advanced Parts Quality Planning (APQP)

A proven track record of Supplier Development in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment

Experience and a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodology

Proven knowledge and experience of APQP, including the PPAP process, FMEA's, control plans, process flow, and capability studies.

Experience executing quality processes with suppliers.

Ability to read engineering drawings


Ideally will have worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) with a 'roll your sleeves up' attitude to get things done.
