About us - We are a specialist Freight provider in the Global Publishing Industry.
We are seeking an experienced export orientated person to fill a role in our busy office.
Role will be working within our current structure and to take a supervisory position over the existing Export and Cross Trade team.
Main responsibilities will be to manage the team processes and ensure the department runs to the required weekly deadlines.
Role will initially handle our non aligned global forwarding cargo movements (FCL & LCL) but ultimately to oversee our core export consolidations.
The team leader will also manage profit and loss for the department as well as being the go-to liaison point for the Warehouse manager and the Import department.
The role will suit a person seeking a challenge and one that can provide answers to questions that our customers bring to us, having a flexible, proactive and resourceful approach to business.
Key role attributes required would be:
- Good knowledge of Export shipping procedures
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication with customers
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers
- Ocean and Transport experience
- Supervisor / Team Leader Experience
- Prior experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping environment
- Good level of computer literacy
- Assertive, able to motivate team members
- Very Organised with willingness to take responsibility for own workload
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Salary will be negotiable dependent on skills and experience
Role is based at our Basildon office, regular working hours 9am to 5pm, 20 Days holiday, we operate smart but casual dress code.
