Main Purpose:


Working within the general direction of the CFO and Finance Manager and to undertake a specific range of clerical and HR duties which support the people management of the MAT in an effective and positive manner.


To act as an integral part of the Central Team, and as such to contribute to the overall aims of the MAT, whilst working within agreed policies and procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Payroll Support to the Trust:

  • undertake various payroll tasks to assist the CFO/FM in the smooth running of the people aspects of the MAT
- planning and organising own workload priorities in consultation with line manager
- prepare statistical information, as requested, or scheduled, for consideration by the CFO and other senior managers, in order to assist them with the general management responsibilities.


Support for the Schools within the MAT
- varied duties, including but not limited to; being the first point of contact for the schools within the MAT for all matters payroll related, keeping systems up to date and functioning correctly, maintaining the mail merge library, distributing updates to schools.


Payroll Duties
- support the FM/CFO with monthly reporting, ensuring health checks are completed and reported to schools, distribute monthly reports and monitor / action the responses
- action 3rd party monthly payments and provide reports
- administer the processes required when staff leave the trust
- support the CFO/FM with year-end payroll preparation
- maintain payroll databases for length of service/sickness/other absence and any other requirements and ensure data is held securely
- develop and maintain a recruitment pack


CET Central Team Duties

Varied duties, including but not limited to:

  • central team HR and Payroll administration
  • new starters, change of pay, DBS checks
  • Single Central Record administration.
