Salary:

Office based - central Tunbridge Wells

Faircloth Construction Ltd work with some of the UK's largest property development investment companies.

Working as a main Contractor, Faircloth Construction specialise in the design and construction of commercial, retail, industrial and leisure projects.

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our fast-paced Accounts team. Your role will be focussed on purchase ledger processing, but will also involve other accounts duties.


Key responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger:

  • Manage purchase ledger inboxes
  • Capture supplier and subcontractor invoices and timesheets as well as credit card transactions in the accounts system using correct tax, cost and account codes
  • Reconcile the supplier ledger and supplier statements
  • Prepare supplier/subcontractor payments
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor queries
  • Manage CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) deductions and subcontractor retentions

Sales Ledger:

  • Raise sales invoices
  • Process invoice queries
  • Maintain debtors and retentions processes

General:

  • Maintain filings system (mostly electronic)
  • Any other ad hoc accounts duties as required

Skills:


  • Construction industry experience with a good working knowledge of customer and supplier retention and CIS
  • Proficient user of Sage and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a very good telephone manner
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work at speed and with accuracy
  • Ability to be flexible, work to deadlines and problem solve
  • AAT Bookkeeping qualification or similar
  • Experience with Eque2 Construct for Sage and Paperless software will be an advantage
