Head of Marketing and Events

Not for Profit Membership Organisation

1 Day Victoria Office, Central London, 4 Days Home

Basic Salary £45,000-£50,000 plus a range of excellent benefits including 5% pension contribution, private healthcare insurance. Annual health & wellbeing allowance Annual leave on your birthdate and ELAS employee engagement and reward scheme

An Initial 12 Month Contract with view to going Permanent, Full Time


My client a reputable not for membership organisation based in Central London is currently looking for a Head of Marketing and Events on an initial 12-month contract with a view to going permanent.


The Role

Key Responsibilities
Leading the business' marketing strategy

Understanding our audience and maximizing the data in the CRM system to reach each community

Facilitating a team of volunteers who represent the individual Oracle communities and guide the content for events

Own and manage event budgets

Liaising with venues and suppliers both pre-event and during on-site experience

Managing on-site team at events

To adhere to administration procedures and systems to support effective completion and delivery of events

Maintaining and improving standards of events by highlighting any issues or enhancements

Planning and running virtual events and webinars on Zoom

Developing key relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, speakers and volunteers

Running with new initiatives and creation of processes around these

Ensuring corporate brand guidelines are upheld and adhered to

Line management of the Events Organiser supporting their professional development

Liaise with the Board where appropriate


Key Experience Required
Strong background in B2B events and marketing (3+ years)

Confident and highly organised individual with a can-do attitude

Exceptional literacy, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in marketing campaigns with proven success of growing an audience

Technically competent with various software programs such as Microsoft Office

Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a flexible environment

Driven, self-motivated, innovative and enthusiastic

Creative mindset, experience of designing and/or developing event branding would be a bonus

Experience of editing webpages with CSS/HTML - desirable
