Pathway Co-ordinator (Waiting list) - Band 3


We currently have an exciting opportunity within the General Surgery and Urology Business Unit for enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team as a Pathway Co-ordinators.


The post holders will be required to provide an efficient medical secretarial service to a UGI Consultant and work as part of the wider secretarial team.


The post holders will possess the skills and qualities to work in an area of high activity and will be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication skills.


  • You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication & problem solving skills.
  • You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy together with time management skills and flexibility.
  • You will be providing a comprehensive range of secretarial, administrative and waiting list support to the wider UGI team
  • You will have the ability to work as part of a team in this extremely high activity department.
You will have a broad range of administrative skills in particular:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An understanding of the 18week RTT process
  • Knowledge of the Trust Patient Access Policy
  • Knowledge and familiarisation of medical terminology
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Audio typing experience (desirable but not essential)
