Senior Structural Engineer, Central London, £70,000 -£90,000 per annum, plus pension & benefits package

This is a position for a senior engineer with a consulting background in the forensic investigations industry, a sector that commands high margins and performs well throughout economiccycles.

Company Profile:
An independently owned, forensic investigations consultancy specialising in the built environment. Their case load covers major infrastructure, buildings, and industrial assets. This encompasses highways, tunnels, bridges,high-rise buildings, ports, airports and more. Their workload is national and international, and on behalf of insurers, loss adjusters, lawyers, owner/ operators and corporate clients. They are called upon to investigate the failure of structures above andbelow ground.

Training & Support:
You will already possess most of the skills required from your career in structural engineering.

However, some additional training and support will be provided, especially around how to carry out site investigations andhow to present your findings, which will from time to time be used to settle claims and litigation.

Moving forward you will be encouraged and helped to gain the skills required to act as an expert witness.

Your Profile:
A structural engineer with building structures or civil structures design experience.

You should be a chartered civil engineer (MICE) or chartered structural engineer (MIStructE), have a strong technical background with naturalcuriosity and a talent for thinking laterally.

A willingness to embrace a diverse workload that presents an array of new technical challenges. Your engineering knowhow should be backed up by good written and verbal communication skills.
