A high-tech environmental company has an opportunity for a Technical Assistant.
Manufacturing, selling and supporting the AQMesh air quality monitoring system from its base in Stratford-upon-Avon, Environmental Instruments offers an exciting role for someone with technical skills, a positive attitude and the appetite to grow as part of this US-owned group.
The Technical Assistant will carry out technical investigations and repairs, assist with manufacturing, respond to technical questions from users all over the world and provide field support when required.
The product is a combination of electronic hardware and cloud-based data management, using the latest mobile communications technology.

Role
Assessing instruments sent back for investigation, repair and upgrade
Carrying out repairs and upgrades
Assembling new products and sub-assemblies at times of peak demand
Responding to user technical tickets
Liaising with internal teams to fulfil orders and respond to customers promptly
Carrying out repairs and upgrades to installed equipment in the field
Quality control
Based at CV37 9NQ, with occasional customer visits (up to six a year)
Working week Monday-Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm with half an hour lunch break, Friday 8.30am to 1pm
Previous knowledge/ experience:
Background in a technical role, ideally electronics
Full driving license to travel within the UK and use of a car
Passport to travel out with the UK
Confidence with IT systems
Proficiency with Excel
Ability to solder surface mount components desirable but not a requirement
Attention to detail and curiosity (asking the right questions)
Reasonable written and oral skills for communicating with customers

Salary £23,000 to £27,000, depending on experience
