We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven
Assessor/Trainerto join our team here at Bournemouth and Poole College on a
part time(30 hours per week)
12 month fixed term contract.
£22,632 - £24,893 per annum pro rata.

As the
Assessor/Traineryou will support all aspects of the Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant & Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standards.
Working with a caseload of learners who are based in the workplace from recruitment through to End Point Assessment and closedown.
Responsibilities as our Assessor/Trainer will include:
- Owning the end to end apprenticeship journey, having a meaningful impact on apprentices' lives
- Maintaining and setting up an approved work placement with employers able to support learners on Apprenticeship programmes
- Agreeing on a training plan for employers using the apprenticeship standards
- Reviewing apprentices' progress involving learners, assessors, employers and tutors and maintaining suitable records of reviews
- Ensuring employers participate in the Apprentice's workplace review visits and are involved in workbased assessment activities
- Providing regular and purposeful reports to employers, apprentices, and the College so that there is a clear plan of action that is time bound for each apprentice and which allows completion with agreed target dates, including preparation for End PointAssessment
- Proactively engaging with employers (and if appropriate, parents/carers) of apprentices to identify any emerging issues and to build strong employer relationships
- Undertaking apprenticeship programme assessment and observations and recording appropriately
- Maintaining efficient record keeping and tracking systems using the systems provided
- Supporting with the delivery of workshops, one to one instruction and/or training sessions relating to knowledge, skills and behaviour development and supporting the assessment of learners in the workplace
As our Assessor/Trainer you'll ideally have:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards
- Evidence of up to date knowledge and practice in the vocational area
- The ability to coordinate visits/workload effectively
- The ability to cope positively with change
- Current driving license and access to a vehicle for business travel
