    Operational & Conduct Risk Manager

    A remote opportunity in Insurance awaits a seasoned Risk professional.

    This role offers the flexibility to work from home and is ideal for someone seeking their first Manager grade position or looking to expand their knowledge within a highly skilled CRO team.

    Sitting within 2nd line, you'll collaborate closely with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to ensure effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Provide oversight and challenge on 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, particularly for operational and conduct risk.
    • Support the development and execution of the company's risk management framework.
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCSA) exercises, develop risk assessments, and conduct risk appetite monitoring with 1st line stakeholders.
    • Assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

    You will have the scope to shape this role according to your skills and interests, while contributing to enhancing the risk culture across the business.

    Requirements:

    • An experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector.
    • Broad Risk experience spanning multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk.
    • Insurance experience is beneficial but not necessary.
    • Possess analytical skills, a curious nature, and a willingness to learn and grow.
    • Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
