    Role Overview
    We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director to lead Legado's sales strategy and drive revenue growth. Based in London, you will be responsible for developing and executing a scalable sales strategy, building relationships with enterprise clients, and mentoring a small but dynamic team of three commercial contributors. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Legado's sales function in a high-growth SaaS environment.

    Key Requirements:

    Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in SaaS sales, with a proven track record of closing enterprise deals and achieving targets.
    • Previous leadership or management experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
    • Excellent problem solving, commercial and analytical skills to understand the complex needs of our business and implement simple solutions at scale.
    • Deep Understanding of SaaS Products: Demonstrates a strong grasp of SaaS product functionality, architecture, and value propositions, enabling effective communication of technical benefits to clients.
    • Experience with financial services, legal, or related sectors is highly desirable (selling technology).
    • Demonstrated experience of building high performing sales cultures around an appetite to exceed targets.
    • Exceptional communication skills encompassing challenging conversations, coaching leaders and communicating initiatives across teams.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, scrappy attitude and bias to getting stuff done. An interest or passion in renovations and sustainability.

    Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the SaaS sales lifecycle and software development lifecycle:
    • Sales lifecycle including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
    • Software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, feature prioritisation, development processes, and release cycles, enabling seamless alignment between sales commitments and product delivery timelines, along with collaboratively and efficiently creating appropriate estimates for customers.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and decision-makers.
    • Data-driven approach to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Align sales efforts with company goals and market opportunities.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the commercial team, including the BDR and Founder's Associate, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Work with operations teams in how we handover projects to deliver strong customer experiences.
    • Strong familiarity with Pipedrive.
    • Expertise in Software Sales: Proven ability to sell software solutions by identifying client pain points, articulating how the product addresses these challenges, and navigating complex sales cycles in B2B environments.

    2. Revenue Generation
    • Build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities within the financial services and legal sectors.
    • Own end-to-end enterprise sales processes, from prospecting to closing.
    • Develop strategies for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients.

    3. Collaboration with Leadership
    • Work closely with the CEO to align efforts and maximise sales effectiveness.
    • Work closely with the CFO, to ensure financial viability of deals.
    • Work closely with the Founder's Associate on Sales and Commercial strategy, Go-To-Market execution and process development.
    • Collaborate with other departments (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to ensure alignment between sales objectives and customer needs.

    4. Team Development
    • Support and guide the BDR in prospecting and lead generation activities.
    • Oversee the sales team's performance, setting KPIs, SLAs and objectives and conducting regular reviews and coaching.

    5. Market Insights & Reporting
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client challenges to refine Legado's value proposition.
    • Provide regular updates and forecasts to the CEO and board, ensuring transparency and accountability.

    6. Product
    • Act as the Voice of the Customer – Provide feedback from sales conversations to the product team to influence roadmap priorities and feature development.
    • Collaborate on Product-Market Fit – Work closely with the product team to ensure alignment between customer needs, market demands, and product capabilities.
    • Drive New Feature Adoption – Partner with marketing and customer success to ensure clients are aware of and adopt new features, maximizing the value they receive from Legado's platform.
