Oakey Smokey is a new smokehouse opening in June 2023 that specialises in smoked meats and other BBQ dishes. Our mission is to provide high-quality, delicious food to our customers while also creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.


Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and measuring ingredients.
• Help to keep the kitchen clean and organised, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and taking out the wastage.
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes.
• Assist with inventory management, including checking and stocking supplies.
• Follow food safety guidelines and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or management.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
• Passion for food and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from others.
• Excellent timemanagement skills and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 25 per week
