Client/Role Overview


Our investment banking client has been present in the UK for more than 150 years, they're a long-term partner to British business.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Java/Angular Developer for a 6 month rolling contract on a 50/50 hybrid basis in the London office.


As a Java/Angular developer you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Integrating server side logic with front end code.
  • Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems.
  • Considering integrations with a variety of data storage solutions.
  • Be part of a growing team that is at the heart of our investment in regulatory and business driven change.
  • Excellent Java including Spring framework, SprintBoot, JPA/Hibernate and REST APIs.
  • Proficient in recent versions of Angular with a good knowledge of its ecosystem (Material, TypeScript 4+, HTML5, SCCS, RxJS).
  • Knowledge of database: T-SQL ideally with use of Liquibase.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch (desirable).

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
