    Job Title: Bank Teaching Assistant

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to support our students across Aurora White House School and Aurora Eccles School as a Bank Teaching Assistant.

    Flexible Working Arrangements

    This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to choose which days to work and providing great flexibility in your working schedule.

    About Our Schools

    Aurora Group's Aurora Eccles and White House schools in Quidenham, Norwich, cater to students aged 6 and above with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

    The schools focus on individual needs, with small classes, a maximum of students per class, and at least 3 staff members per class. A full clinical team is onsite, and support from an experienced and stable SLT is also available.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Developing Relationships: Establish warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and enjoy learning.
    2. Promoting Independence: Promote independence and personal development, maintaining high behaviour expectations.
    3. Delivering Educational Activities: Contribute to providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities supporting a broad curriculum.
    4. Supporting Class Teacher: Support the Class Teacher in daily class management.
    5. Adapting to Changing Needs: Adapt to the changing needs of the school to ensure smooth operations.
    6. Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Development: Support pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and spiritual development.
    7. Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.

    Please note that duties may vary, and you may contribute to the overall aims of Eccles as required.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification (minimum Grade 4 or equivalent).
    • Level 2-3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
    • Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures.
    • Knowledge and experience with pupils with SEMH, ASD.

    Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle due to the school's location.
