We are currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for_ Purchase Ledger (EMEA), Employee Expenses (Global) and Credit Card Processing (EMEA).

What we'll get you doing:

  • Ensure timely processing of purchase invoices for IDBS EMEA, validating coding and authorizations for payment. Financial integrity review upon receipt of invoices; cost coding, price and/or quantities and supporting documentation. Addressing differences with either supplier or the concerned department.
  • Standardize procedures to generate efficiency. Ownership of Purchase and Travel Policies and procedures. Process vendor payment runs. Reconcile vendor balances on a monthly basis. Dealing with supplier queries. Ensuring the integrity of the purchase ledger in various currencies including GBP, Euro, US Dollar.
  • Ensure overdue accounts are managed and escalated when needed. Establishing and maintaining supplier relationships to enable effective cost recording and payments.
  • Maintain cash book for bank payments and direct debits and post allocation journals as required.
Here is what success in this role looks like:

  • Knowledge/experience of computer-based accounting packages (NetSuite experience is desirable)
  • Knowledge/experience of using SAP Concur for processing expense claims
  • Solid experience processing purchase ledger invoices in a multicurrency environment including knowledge of VAT and Tax regulations
  • Be a confident user of Excel with strong analytical skills, with an ability to perform V-Lookups and Pivot tables.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Procurement issues, and purchase processes
  • Knowledge of VAT and Tax regulations.
