Permanent, Full time. 37 hours per week


Two vacancies currently exist for the position of Supported Housing Assistant to join the Leaving Care Accommodation team, one position is for permanent full time nights and the other is to work throughout the day on a rota to work from 08:00am to 21:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

The post holder will provide support to looked after children and care leavers aged 16-21 to promote independent living.

They will be a point of contact to residents in supported accommodation, their own tenancy and at the leaving care hub.

They will ensure that the service provides a safe and welcoming environment.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated individuals.

the successful applicants will have the ability to offer one-to-one and group support to care leavers including; to plan and facilitate independence workshops.


The work will also involve contributing to the operation of the Leaving Care Accommodation services and ensuring that they are maintained to a high standard.

This will include ensuring good order is maintained in these services so that all residents can peacefully occupy the premises and neighbour nuisance, both internal and external to the building is minimised.
