Key responsibilities for the role are as follows:
- Assist in identifying the Company's purchasing needs
- Understand the target market and analyse trends to make informed buying decisions
- Build relationships with our suppliers and negotiate on best price, quantities, and delivery time scales
- Research, select and purchase quality products
- Update inventory systems and manage stock levels
- Expediting of outstanding purchase orders
- Monitor and escalate goods received discrepancies to suppliers and Management
- Direction to warehouse staff for prioritising goods receipts
- Communicating with external sales force on expected delivery dates
About you:
- Purchasing experience / Word & Excel Experience
- Reliable, hardworking, positive attitude and selfmotivated
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly in negotiating
- Commercial awareness & Analytical skills
- Ability to make decisions
- Have an understanding and experience of expediting
- Process driven person with good organisation & communication skills
- Able to work well in a team
