Exciting Opportunity:
Group Worker & case management worker


Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We're seeking a Group Worker to engage our service users, ensuring they receive timely, personalised interventions that cater to their unique needs.

As a Group Worker, you'll deliver and develop group work/pods specifically for alcohol and non-opiate substances.


Our Camden service comprises a dynamic and diverse team, including service managers, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators, and peer mentors.

Collaboratively, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality support and interventions for individuals utilising our services.


Location:
Camden, London


Hours: 37.5 per week


Salary:
£27, £31,529.41 per year, dependent on experience


Allowances:
£ Inner London Weighting (pro rata)


Responsibilities:


About the Role:


  • Deliver targeted interventions to reduce harm from substances like GHB, Crystal Methamphetamine, and nonopiate drugs.
  • Participate in debriefing and evaluations with cofacilitator/s after groups/pods have taken place.
  • Take the lead on graduation events for individuals who have completed the programme.
  • Analyse service user feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Customise specific workshops around the needs of the individuals, such as anger management, sleep disorders, relationships.

To thrive in this role, we welcome individuals who embody:

  • Rich experience in working with groups/pods and adeptly managing group dynamics, including conflict or challenging behavior.
  • Proficiency in Motivational Interviewing and Psycho-Social Intervention.
  • An understanding of evidencebased interventions in a group work setting.
  • While advantageous, a qualification in groupwork, or equivalent is not essential; your unique experiences and commitment matter most to us.
