Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a firm of Accountants in their office based in Middlesbrough with a WFH balance.

This firm provides a wide range of services to a variety of clients, giving you a breadth of experience.


About the role:

  • Prepare accounts through to trial balance, ready for accounts preparation
  • Working with accountancy software
  • Bookkeeping duties and preparation of VAT returns.
  • Working with clients and the team to ensure the firm has all information needed.

About you:
3+ Years Practice experience

Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be beneficial

Strong written and verbal communication. T

The role is Monday to Friday.


Qualifications

  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (AAT level 3 minimum)
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or payroll administration
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional accounting or payroll certification is a plus

Salary:
£22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
