About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join a care team for a 45-year-old female living in Leeds.

The client has cerebral palsy and requires 1:1 support 24 hours a day. This role involves providing care within her home and assisting her in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
Supporting DG with mobility, including hoisting and transferring.
Accompanying DG on outings and social activities, including meals out with her husband.
Driving DG's vehicle (VW Caravelle) as needed.
Assisting with meal preparation, mindful of swallowing difficulties.
Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment in DG's home.
Working closely with DG's family and other care team members.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Confident and sensitive approach to care, respecting independence and preferences.
Experience in supporting individuals with cerebral palsy or similar conditions preferred.
Full, valid UK driving license.
Physical capability to assist with mobility and handling.
Nonsmoker preferred.

£12.00-£24.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 30 per week

Experience:

- caring for someone in their own home: 1 year (required)
- working with someone with a brain injury: 1 year (required)
- professional care (working for a care provider in the UK): 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
- right to work full time in the UK without sponsorship (required)
