The working hours are between 8am-6:00pm resulting in a 37.5 working hour week
The Infrastructure Engineer:
The
Infrastructure Engineer will have the opportunity to work for a fast paced and engaging Managed Service Provider supporting a range of clients.
It provides great opportunity for the Infrastructure Engineer to take on more responsibilityin dealing with clients and implementing a range of technologies, working on exciting client projects as well as BAU.
In addition to this, you will be joining a fantastic team and a collaborative environment, but the Infrastructure Engineer will also havethe autonomy to be able to work independently using their initiative to deliver results.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer will include:
- Providing support to a unique infrastructure environment, which is reliant on secured private and public network connectivity, spanning across 2 company sites, 2 geographically split data centres, and Microsoft Azure public cloud.
- Supporting approximately 100 employees internal to the organisation across two different offices
- Assistance in project work
- Network Refreshes/VMware upgrades/Cloud Migrations
Key Skills of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Office 365 suite
- Outlook/Exchange/Teams/One Drive/SharePoint
- VMware
- Managing and Configuring VMs
- Active Directory
- Managing Users & Service Accounts/ promoting & demoting Domain controllers
- Windows 10
- User support
- Azure
- AD Sync and basic Azure understanding
- SQL Server
- Understanding of utilities and functions
- Networking
- VPN/Firewalls
Desirable (but not essential) Skills of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Microsoft Certifications
- Previous industry experience within Managed Service Providers
- Previous experience with Cisco Switches
- Hypervisor Administration
- Basic PowerShell experience
- Great communication skills
- Experience working independently
