An opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our client's organisation.

The company handles a fleet of LGV Lorries and recycling facilities in Devon.

There are approximately 150 employees, the bulk of whom are employed in these operations and who work with plant, equipment, and trucks.

Working with managers, supervisors, andlarger teams is a requirement of the position in order to ensure successful adherence to the law and the organization's health and safety management system.


By creating, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing a strong Health and Safety management system, policies, and procedures, and by offering professional advice on all aspects of Health and Safety, this role's goal is to ensure the Company complies withits legal obligations under health and safety law and is fully compliant with all applicable regulations.


The major focus of the position is health and safety, but as a part of a small team, you will also be expected to support the company management system's environmental and quality objectives and help other team members achieve their goals.


  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety

Previous experience from an Environmental background/ dealing with hazardous waste:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Health and Safety practitioner.
  • Experience of management systems and achieving third party certification to a recognised standard such as ISO 4500
  • Experience of dealing with external enforcing bodies such as: HSE, Environmental Health, Local Authorities.
