    The Company

    Our client is an international logistics specialist with over 25 years of experience and a global network spanning the UK, USA, Russia, Australia, Brazil, West Africa, and the Middle East. They focus on project management, providing bespoke solutions for customers requiring timely and secure cargo transportation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Freight Forwarding / Cargo Coordination: Arrange and manage the transportation of goods across various modes (air, sea, road, rail) to ensure timely delivery.
    • Documentation Handling: Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cargo handling, insurance, and transit.

    Requirements:

    • Must be a car owner as the role requires visits to border force and airline offices.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), tracking software, and Microsoft Office.
    • Attention to Detail: Freight forwarders must be meticulous in handling documentation and ensuring accuracy.
    • Negotiation Skills: Freight forwarders often negotiate rates with carriers and service providers.

    Competitive salary: £30K per annum, dependent on skills and experience. Monday to Friday working pattern, 9-5.
