No Limits is the leading youth services charity in Southampton, supporting children and young people in the city and across Hampshire.

The No Limits Emergency Department and Social Prescribing Team work across the five main hospitals in Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Basingstoke and the Isle of Wight, with Next Steps project workers based in Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke and the Isle of Wight.


We are looking for a Youth Worker to join the Basingstoke team, working in the Emergency departments and providing intensive one to one support.

Our growing team of Youth Workers are caring, collaborative and courageous professionals, committed to empowering children and young people to achieve positive changes in their lives.


Emergency Departments - Our unique service delivery model aims to support all children and young people. The ED Youth Workers have been working with the 'reachable moment' when a young person attends ED in crisis, whether that is through violent crime or mental health crisis to help them to start thinking about change.


Next Steps, Harm Reduction (internally known as Violence Reduction) - Case Held youth work for young people at risk of becoming involved in serious violence, providing intensive community based one to one support for up to six months.


The successful applicant will provide direct support to children and young people, both in the emergency department and in the community.

By helping the young person to connect with specialist support and other community services through Social Prescribing and Next Steps.

Role Terms

Salary:
Band D £25,904 to £28,720 (Full Time Equivalent, pro-rata for part time)

Hours: 37 hours per week - hours will be worked Monday to Sunday on a rota basis. We are happy to consider part time hours, job share or flexible working opportunities.

Working Arrangements:
Based in Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and community locations across Basingstoke and the surrounding area
